How do you think Stanley and Zero feel when the Warden confronts them? How would you feel if you were in Stanley and Zero's position? Why?
Choose one of these questions to answer. *Write which number you chose at the beginning of your response. 1. Why do you think Zero chooses that moment to confess about
the stolen shoes? 2. Zero says, “If I had just kept those old smelly sneakers, then neither of us would be here right now.” Do you think he’s right? Is there anything positive about their situation? Name three things that you learned during the field trip yesterday.
What was your favorite part of the field trip? *Comment on a classmate's post. “Stanley thought only about each step, and not the
impossible task that lay before him.” Have you ever attempted anything that seemed impossible? How did you approach it? What did you learn from the experience? Why do you think Stanley doesn’t fight back when Zigzag makes fun of him? What would you have done in Stanley’s position? Why?
Do you think Mr. Sir really filled Stanley's canteen with water? If so, why? If not, what do you think Mr. Sir put in there instead? What makes you think that? Why would he do that?
The other boys in Group D don't approve of Stanley and Zero’s
arrangement. Do you think it is fair to all the boys? Why or why not? Do you think it is Stanley's fault that Mr. Sir gets scratched? Why or why not?
Please answer both questions.
1. Why does Stanley tell Mr. Sir that he stole the sunflower seeds? 2. What would you have done? |
